Our services

Everything from a blank page to a system nobody else would touch.

Six practices, one team. Whether you need a system built from scratch, an app in both stores, a SaaS platform launched, or a failing project taken over — the engagement starts the same way: a conversation about what actually needs to happen.

Custom Software Development

Off-the-shelf software makes you change your business to suit the tool. We do the opposite: we study how your organisation already works, then build the system around it — removing the double entry, the manual reconciliations and the “ask Sarah, she has the file” dependencies.

What we build

  • Enterprise resource planning (ERP) & accounting integrations
  • Point of sale, stock control and multi-branch inventory
  • Human resources, payroll and staff attendance systems
  • Membership, loan and savings systems for SACCOs
  • School management, admissions and results processing
  • Document workflow, approvals and audit trails
  • Management dashboards and automated reporting
What you receive
  • Requirements document & process map
  • System architecture and data model
  • Full source code in your repository
  • Admin, user and API documentation
  • On-site training for staff and administrators
  • Warranty period after go-live
What you receive
  • Android (.aab) and iOS builds
  • Store listings, screenshots and release notes
  • Offline sync and conflict-resolution logic
  • Crash reporting and analytics wired in
  • Signing keys handed to you, documented
  • Post-launch update cycle

Cross-Platform Mobile Apps

One codebase that ships to Android and iOS, built with Flutter or React Native. Designed for how phones are actually used here: variable networks, shared devices, mid-range Android hardware and mobile money as a first-class payment method.

What we build

  • Field data collection apps that work fully offline
  • Customer-facing apps with mobile money and card payments
  • Sales force, delivery and route management apps
  • Companion apps for existing web systems
  • USSD and SMS integrations alongside the app
  • Push notifications, in-app messaging and updates
  • Google Play & App Store submission and release management

SaaS Applications & Platforms

Turning an idea into a subscription product needs more than a web app: tenancy, roles, billing, metering, onboarding and uptime. We have built that plumbing before and we build it into your product from day one, so your first hundred customers do not break it.

What we build

  • Multi-tenant architecture with per-tenant data isolation
  • Subscription plans, trials, invoicing and usage metering
  • Role and permission systems for teams
  • Self-service onboarding and admin back-office
  • Public APIs, webhooks and third-party integrations
  • Cloud deployment on AWS, Azure or managed hosting
  • Monitoring, logging, auto-scaling and backups
What you receive
  • Production, staging and test environments
  • CI/CD pipeline with automated deployment
  • Tenant onboarding and billing flows
  • Uptime monitoring and alerting
  • Scalability plan with cost projections
  • Technical documentation for your future team
What you receive
  • Written audit report with risks and options
  • Fixed-price recovery plan you can approve or decline
  • Stabilised, backed-up deployment under your control
  • Complete credential and asset inventory
  • Rebuilt documentation set
  • Optional ongoing support agreement

Rescue of Abandoned & Failing Systems

Our most requested service. A developer vanished, a contract ended badly, or a system was delivered almost-finished and never quite worked. We treat these projects as engineering problems, not lost causes — and we start by telling you the truth about what you have.

What we build

  • Independent audit of existing code, database and infrastructure
  • Recovery of source code, credentials, domains and hosting accounts
  • Security review: exposed data, weak authentication, missing backups
  • Completion of unfinished features to an agreed scope
  • Migration of live data into a new or rebuilt system
  • Re-documentation of undocumented systems
  • Takeover of ongoing maintenance and support

ICT Services & Infrastructure

The systems we build only run as well as what sits underneath them. Our ICT practice covers the networks, servers, devices and backups that keep an office working — whether or not we wrote the software on top.

What we build

  • Structured cabling, LAN/WAN design and Wi-Fi coverage
  • Server installation, virtualisation and configuration
  • Cloud migration and hybrid on-premise setups
  • Backup, replication and disaster recovery planning
  • Endpoint security, antivirus and access control
  • CCTV, biometric access and networked office systems
  • Hardware procurement, setup and lifecycle support
What you receive
  • Site survey and network diagram
  • Documented configuration and IP schema
  • Backup schedule with tested restores
  • Asset register
  • Staff handover session
  • Maintenance visit schedule
What you receive
  • Signed SLA with response and resolution targets
  • Named support contacts
  • Monthly uptime and ticket report
  • Change log for every update
  • Scheduled maintenance windows
  • Annual improvement roadmap

Technical Support & Maintenance

Software is a living thing: operating systems change, regulations change, staff change. A support retainer keeps your system patched, monitored and improving, with a named team who already know your setup.

What we build

  • Response-time backed service level agreements
  • Proactive monitoring of servers, uptime and backups
  • Security patching and dependency updates
  • Bug fixes and small enhancements each month
  • User support desk by phone, email and WhatsApp
  • Refresher training for new and existing staff
  • Quarterly system health and improvement reviews
Engagement models

Three ways to work with us

Pricing depends on scope, so we quote per project — but the structure of the relationship is always one of these three.

Fixed-Scope Project

Best when the requirement is clear and the budget must be predictable.

  • Written statement of work
  • Fixed price and delivery date
  • Milestone-based payments
  • Warranty period included
Most popular for first projects
Request a quote

Dedicated Team

Best for evolving products where the roadmap will change as you learn.

  • Monthly team allocation
  • Two-week sprints
  • Direct access to engineers
  • Scale up or down with notice
Ideal for SaaS & long builds

Support Retainer

Best once a system is live and must stay live.

  • Agreed monthly hours
  • SLA response times
  • Monitoring & patching included
  • Priority on new requests
Available for systems we didn’t build

Technology

Tools chosen for longevity, not fashion

We pick mature, well-supported technologies with a large local talent pool — so your system can be maintained by someone other than us if it ever needs to be.

Our process

How a GM Tech project actually runs

1

Discovery workshop

We meet your team, watch the current process, and write down what the system must do. Output: a requirements document and a process map you sign off.

2

Design & prototype

Data model, architecture and clickable screens. You correct the system while changes still cost hours instead of weeks.

3

Build in sprints

Two-week cycles, each ending in a working demo on a real environment. Progress is visible, not reported.

4

Launch & support

Data migration, staff training, documentation handover, warranty period, then optional SLA-backed support.

Questions

Frequently asked

A focused first version is usually 8–16 weeks from kick-off, depending on scope. We deliberately scope a smaller version one, get it into real use, then extend it. Rescue and audit work is faster — the written audit report is normally ready within one to two weeks.

Yes, completely. We commit to a repository under your organisation’s account from the first day, and hosting accounts, domains and signing keys are registered in your name. You can hand the project to any competent developer at any point.

That is one of our core services. We start with a paid audit of the code, database and infrastructure, and give you a written report on the system’s condition, the risks, and your realistic options — finish it, migrate it or rebuild it — each with a price.

Three ways: fixed price against a written statement of work, a monthly dedicated-team rate, or an hourly support retainer. Every proposal states exactly what is included, what is not, and how changes are priced before they are done.

Yes. We work with clients across Uganda and the region, combining remote delivery with on-site visits for workshops, installation and training. Our office is at Plot 205, Court Road, Nabweru.

You get a warranty period covering defects at no charge, plus training and documentation. After that, most clients move onto a support retainer for monitoring, patching and enhancements — but it is optional, not a lock-in.

Yes. We regularly integrate MTN and Airtel mobile money, card gateways, SMS and USSD channels, and push data into accounting packages and URA/EFRIS requirements. Integrations are scoped explicitly so you know what data moves where.

We design for it. Offline-first mobile apps, local caching, queued synchronisation and on-premise fallbacks are standard considerations in our architecture, not add-ons.

Let’s build

Not sure which service you need?

Describe the problem in plain language — a process that is breaking, a system that stalled, an app you keep postponing. We will tell you which of these six routes fits, and what it would take.
